20 Book Challenge at Lake City High School
Reading touches every aspect of learning and the more we intentionally practice reading, the more successful we will be in all areas of life. Reading is EVERYWHERE! The 20 Book Challenge is just that – a personal CHALLENGE. It is not a class grade. It is not a mandatory program. It is merely meant to embrace a culture of reading, to explore all genres, and to push beyond our comfort zones. (benbrookmhs.weebly.com)
- All books must be at least 150 pages long.Poetry is the only exception. There is no length restriction on poetry books; however, you may only read 3 poetry books.
- You may read only two “how to books” in the non-fiction section.
- Books over 300 pages will count as two books.
- When you complete a book, fill out the form posted on the media center webpage.
- The challenge will end May 1. All students who read 20 books, follow the set rules and fill out the form will be entered into a drawing to win one of three prizes after the challenge ends.
